The Brief
Cloud 9 was tasked with designing a trade show exhibit to promote Maryland, with a focus on showcasing the state’s rich history, innovation, and natural beauty. Our approach was to create an immersive experience featuring interactive digital displays that allowed visitors to explore Maryland’s diverse industries, from biotechnology to seafood. We incorporated large-scale graphics of iconic landmarks like the Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to highlight the state’s vibrant landscapes. To align with Maryland’s environmental initiatives, we used modern, sustainable materials throughout the design. Additionally, we crafted areas for networking and hands-on engagement, positioning Maryland as a leading destination for business and tourism.
Our Proposal
- Aluminum framing: Lightweight, durable, and easy to assemble, often used for modular exhibit structures.
- Fabric graphics: Stretchable fabrics with high-resolution printing, commonly used for backdrops, banners, and signage.
- Acrylic panels: Clear or colored acrylic for creating sleek displays, partitions, or product showcases.
- Wood veneers: For adding a warm, natural aesthetic, often used in display shelving or accent features.
- Carpet flooring: Comfortable, customizable carpet that can match brand colors and provide a welcoming feel.
- LED lighting: Energy-efficient lighting for illuminating key areas, creating mood, or highlighting products.
- Printed PVC panels: Lightweight and sturdy, used for large graphics or branded signage.
- Eco-friendly materials: Recycled or sustainable materials such as bamboo, reclaimed wood, or recycled plastic, aligning with environmental priorities.
- Magnetic displays: Easily interchangeable graphics or product displays that use magnetic backing for flexibility.
- Digital displays and monitors: For interactive touchscreens, video presentations, or dynamic product showcases.
